Hey guys! I’m back again (whuttt? A
whole month hasn’t passed since my last post?) because I found an amazing surprise
on my porch when I woke up this morning. On March 4th, I got my
confirmation email saying that I was going to receive the second Influenster
VoxBox of the 2013, entitled ‘Sugar ‘n Spice”. Now, lemme tell you something.
After the initial excitement set in that I was getting this box, I was in a
temporary vegetative state whilst waiting for my box… I swear, my brothers
thought I was going insane, sitting on the porch every day and barking at all
the cars going by. Just kidding. I was, indeed, checking outside every 10
minutes to see if it came, though.
It feels like it has been forever
since I actually received that email, but here’s the thing: I received an email
that I needed to go take the pre-survey a few weeks before, and I was so sad
because I was almost positive that I was not going to be receiving another
VoxBox this time around. So, surprise, surprise! Influenster tricked me! Anywho…
My box came this morning (I’ve been waiting so patiently since I got my email).
This VoxBox is absolutely HAAAA-UGE. There is a ton of awesome full-sized
products in here that I am so so so so so excited to be trying out. The amazing
thing about this box is that it’s filled with a bunch of stuff that I’ve
actually been curious about trying. You go, Influenster. Pleasing people like
me since (insert year here). Did I mention that it’s only *two days* until my
birthday? This is practically a birthday gift to me from Influenster. ;)
Alright, I guess I’ll get right
into this.
This is my closed, pretty orange
VoxBox. They recently redesigned their packaging and they now have such a great
eye-popping colour and message to them! Seriously, would you prefer this… or a
plain white box? I would take this one ten times over. I also think that it’s
such a cute touch having the Expert Badges featured on the top of the box. On
the front flap of the box, it also says “Because you are an Influenster”. I
just can’t get over the new packaging. It’s so awesome.
Here’s an inside look of my VoxBox.
I actually moved some stuff around because (forgive me), I was so excited to
take all of the products out and take a gander. This is roughly how it looked.
As you can see, the box is packed with products. (are you excited yet?).
The first thing that you lay your
eyes on when you open the box is the standard description card that you get in every box. On the
front, it shows you the name of the box and a cute description down on the
bottom.
If you flip the card over, it gives
you a brief description of each product, also including the prices of each one
separately.
Under the initial card, you find
coupons for $2 off one of the products that will be showed a little later in
the post. There is five coupon cards. Do you know what that means? $10 dollars
you will be saving if you decide to purchase these again. Another great thing about coupons is that you can
share these. Give one to a friend, or a coworker, or someone you think should
have it. Orrrr… you can be like me and share them with yourself (insert wink
here) and your family.
(oops @ the obvious product sneak peek)
Under the coupons, you have yourself a pretty little booklet
from NECTRESSE giving you some ideas on how to use this, what’s actually in
it/how it’s made, and some nifty recipes that you can try out. I don’t know
about you, but I can always go for some recipes.
I’m just going to go in order of
the products on the description card from here on.
The first thing on the card is the
Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturizer Total Moisture spray (warning: saying this
too many times can confuse your brain). These are a pretty new product, as far
as I can tell. These recently popped up at my local Wal-Mart and I was
literally like, “HOLY COW! A SPRAY ON LOTION! I NEEEEEEED THIS!” Yes, I was
quite as excited as I sound in that impression of myself. Anyway. I think this
is such an awesome concept. If you’ve ever tried a sunscreen in spray form,
then you probably understand how this works. You spray it on, rub it in, and
BAM it’s dry. This is so convenient for me, especially, because I have this
HUGE love-hate affair with lotion in general. I hate the fact that when you’re
rubbing in lotion, it feels like it’s never going to dry. The fact that this is
quick-drying is freaking amazing to me. I have a feeling that I’m going to
really love this product. ($7.99 for 6.5 oz. can)
The next product on the card is
NECTRESSE. I received a tiny sample of this when it had first come out, and
actually really enjoyed it. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to buy it because little
samples are really only good for one use, so you can’t really tell if this will
be very worthwhile. This is a full-sized freaking can of NECTRESSE, y’all. 5.9
ounces of zero calorie sweetener. This product is primarily made from monk
fruit combined with other natural sweeteners. I dare you… if you got this
product, dip your cutie little finger in it and taste it. YUM. You will be impressed.
What’s interesting about this is that a lot of people received the box of
individual servings, and I received the baking-esque can of it. I’m super
excited to try this in my coffee and my tea, and of course some of the fancy
fancy fancy recipes in the booklet that came with it. ($6.99 for 5.9 0z.
container with 140 servings)
Up next, we have the Dickinson’s
Original With Hazel Oil-Controlling Towelettes. I’ve never used these before
(or Witch Hazel in general), so it was really nice to see them in my box and to
be able to test a new product. These come in a box with 20-5”x7” towelettes
packed individually into a tiny travel-size foil packet. I haven’t tried these
out yet, so I don’t know exactly how they will smell, but I’m excited
nonetheless. These towelettes claim to gently lift dirt, oil and impurities
from your pores while nourishing even the most sensitive skin. They also
contain absolutely no trace of oil, so that’s amazing for me. I have super oily
skin and I do not need anything to be making that one worse. The packaging on
this is so cool. You can literally take one or two out of the handy-dandy box
and stick them in your purse for when you’re not home. In other words, they’re
very compact and won’t take up too much room in your bag. ($5.99 for a 20-count
box)
(Half way through my first biscuit, holla!)
The last thing (but hopefully not
the least) in this box, was the belVita Breakfast Biscuits. I actually could
not help myself. I’m surprised I was able to get a couple of pictures before I
absolutely devoured them. I got the flavor Cinnamon Brown Sugar (one of my fav
breakfast flavors). It was absolutely delicious. Each package comes with four
bars/biscuits. I ate three of them and decided to save the last one to share
with my mum and sister. They’re soooo yummy. I actually thought that I might
float away because they were so delicious. My sister has tried the blueberry
kind of these and she fell in love with them, so I was so excited to see these
in my box. I can’t wait to go buy a few more boxes. Anyway. These are supposed
to release energy into your body throughout the morning to keep you balanced
and feeling alive. I ate these a while ago, and I’m still feeling energized.
They are a good source of Fiber and B-vitamins and have 18-20 grams of whole
grain per 50 gram serving.
So, that is it for my amazing Sugar
‘n Spice VoxBox. I’m so pleased to have this and so appreciative to Influenster
for sending me it. I’m so excited to be able to try out some new products! Keep
your eyes peeled for some reviews that will surely be coming your way (to my
blog) soon!
As a personal challenge, you should
go back and try to count how many times I said the word ‘excited’.
Have a great day, as usual! Thanks
for reading and I hope you enjoyed my excitement
over receiving this! I’ll probably make a blog about my birthday soon. (wink
wink)
