Hey,beauties! I’ve been so lazy lately. I’ve been planning this and a few otherblog posts for a while now, but I’ve just been so… lazy about actually making themcome together. Hopefully during Spring Break, I will get some posts written.
Asthe name gives away, I’m doing a review for the fairly new drugstorefoundation, Revlon Nearly Naked.
(The product swatched on my hand.)
I’vebeen using this foundation for about six weeks now. I have to say—I’m super impressed withthis product. It seems like I’ve been using it forever. It has a verylight-to-medium coverage, but that’s perfect for me. I have a huge problem withfull coverage foundations because I’m so oily. This foundation is solightweight and keeps my skin way less oily with my Rimmel Stay Matte powderover top of it. Another thing that I love about this product is that isliterally lasts forever. I’ve barely made a dent in my bottle, and I use itseveral times a week. It is theperfect match for my skin tone and it’s super blendable. If you were wondering, I got the lightest shade (110 Ivory). I'm a little snowball.
Now… onto the actualdescription of the product. I think that I paid about $10 for this, which is pretty awesome with how long that it’s lasting and how great ofquality it is, in my experience. It comes in a wide variety of shades. I thinkthere’s at least ten. It has an SPF of 20 in it. SPF in a foundation is greatbecause a lot of people don’t like wearing sunscreen, so it has some coveragein it to somewhat protect your skin. It is supposed to blend seamlessly withyour skin without being cakey or make you oily. It’s supposed to look verynatural. I think that one of the only downfalls of this product is that it doesnot come with a pump. It gets pretty messy. You should see my bottle withoutthe lid… eugh. The packaging is very nice, although it’s not the best. As youcan see, it’s a squared bottle with a squared lid. As I have said, it has nopump (did I mention that having no pump kind of sucks?). It has amazing lastingpower also. I can apply my foundation at 7 AM and wear it for about 12 hourswithout too much of a problem. I still have to blot with this foundation, but I’vehad to blot much more with other products. I bought the Revlon Colorstayfoundation for combination/oily skin a few months ago with very high hopes… andI hated it. It felt so cakey on my skin and once I looked in the mirror, I feltlike I could not leave the house with it on my face. Naturally, I haven’t goneback to the Colorstay foundation. I went to get this foundation after hearingso much hype about it, and I am glad to say that Revlon has reimbursed itselfwith this foundation. I absolutely love it and will repurchase it if I ever runout. This is so good compared to the Colorstay, and any other foundation I havetried so far. Of course, everyone has their own opinions and everyone hasdifferent skin, but that’s how I feel.
